I got my NYPL card with a couple of friends my freshman year in college- we made a trip out of checking out the main branch and getting library cards in that massive reading room. My last year of college I made three or four trips to both the Central library and the Billy Rose theatre archives at Lincoln Center with books and archives for a research project on Boris Aronson, a set designer.
The print card is from a trip my dad and I took in the same time frame to dig through genealogical archives at the main branch as well.
